Candlelit dining room of a rustic Italian trattoria

Anytown, USA · Since 1962

Authentic Italian, made with love.

Pasta rolled by hand every morning, sauces that take all day, and family recipes carried over from a small kitchen in Piedmont.

Our Story

A small kitchen, a long table, and a lot of family

Nonna Elena opened the first Bella Nord in 1962 with six tables and one enormous copper pot. She cooked the food she grew up with in Piedmont: slow braises, buttery agnolotti, and risotto stirred until it sighed.

Three generations later, not much has changed. Her grandson Marco runs the kitchen, his sister Giulia runs the floor, and the same recipe cards sit taped inside the pantry door, splattered and softened with age.

We still make our pasta by hand each morning, still buy our produce from growers we know by name, and still believe a good meal should take its time. Come hungry, stay late.

"Cook with what you have, and give it your whole attention."Elena Bertolini
